The Merriest Christmas in town...

During our 2009 Season, Gros Morne Summer Music took a chance on a relatively unknown group called The Once (Phil Churchill, Geraldine Hollet, and Andrew Dale). Needless to say, they didn’t only steal the show, they stole the whole season! Widely hailed as the favourites of 2009, The Once went on to win 4 MusicNL awards, selling out concerts and garnering rave reviews for their live performances and their newly released self-titled album. We are thrilled to announce that they are back! Gros Morne Summer Music’s annual Winter Gala and Silent Auction will feature this spectacular trio and their beautiful arrangements of some of your favourite carols. The evening will open with Gary Graham and the Chorale, The Three Little Angels (Tess English, Anna Barrett and Gina Spencer) along with Yvette Coleman, Wendy Woodland, Mike Payne, Jim Parsons, and the return of Corner Brook’s Pamela Rogers. As in past years our auction will feature a wide variety of interesting items, art from western Newfoundland’s premiere arts and craftspeople, one-of-a-kind antiques as hunted down by our own Nelson Legrow, gift certificates from the finest restaurants and accommodations in the region, a raffle prize of GMSM’s Christmas Liquor Basket, flowers and more.
